Eve Lom Cleanser

From their site:

Remarkable. Multi-purpose. Multi-award-winning. The original balm cleanser.

The EVE LOM Cleanser was described by Vogue as ‘probably the best cleanser in the world’ and is the foundation of our skincare regime. It changed the face of cleansing and continues to, everywhere in the world we launch, being expertly balanced for all skin types, skin concerns and environmental conditions. With its signature blend of four aromatic plant oils, specially woven 100% cotton Muslin Cloth and quick routine, the result is incredibly glowing, radiant skin with a smoother, more refined texture. The difference can be seen instantly and just keeps on improving with use.

Benefits:
  • Deep cleanses without drying or stripping the skin and removes even the most stubborn of waterproof make-up
  • Thorough cleansing and gentle exfoliation enables skin cells to regenerate quickly and provides a vital receptive base for beauty products to work at their best
  • Decongests and with the signature massage technique helps drain toxins
  • Exfoliates, tones, improves circulation when combined with the specially woven Muslin Cloth
  • Softens and conditions the skin
  • Visible benefits for all skin types

  • As much I love spending money on luxury products, it's hard for me to spend $135 on a cleanser. However, being called "the best cleanser in the world" by Vogue is definitely a very strong temptation.  The is the brand's star product and it is designed to be a makeup remover, skin-retexturizer, toner, exfoliant, and brightener all in one." I guess $135 is not that bad if it's 5 products in 1. I would love to test this out at some point.

Have you tried it yet? If you have, I want to hear from you. You can buy it at SpaceNK or order from their site.

    Eve Lom Cleanser is $135

My $3000 Skincare Routine! La Mer, Givenchy, La Prairie, SkinFood, and Guerlain with reviews!

Yes, I buy and pay for all my products. If anyone wants to send me freebies. I'll be happy to accept ;)

    Hey guys!

So the question I get asked the most in person is always "What do you use?” My routine has a few staple products that never change, I do like to play around with new toners or face washes, but as of now, here’s my routine and I've enclosed links that'll take you to my review of the product that I've reviewed.

Clearly, I use a lot more products than most people would need. I do so for a few reasons-- I write a beauty blog and mainly the fact that I work in the luxury industry. Normally you don't need to have a complete day AND night sets of products. So you can probably cut the cost by half.

Face Wash: Nude Cleansing Oil ($36) in the morning and La Mer Foam Face Wash ($65) at night
Always try to use a gentle cleanser in the morning. Your face is never too dirty in the morning and you don’t want to strip your skin of its natural oils. I think I might switch to La Mer’s cleansing fluid or another cleanser after I finish the one from Nude. They changed the formula and it’s kind of too rich for me now.

Toner: SkinFood Platinum Grape Cell Toner $60  in the morning and Guerlain abeilleroyale Lotion (which is a toner) $61 at night

You don’t really need to have two different toners. I just like to try different products so I have two. I actually have 4, but these two are my main ones. I think eventually I will go back to SKII’s Facial Treatment Essence, which is holy water for the face!

Serum: Guerlain Orchidee Imperial Serum ($465) in the morning and La Mer Regenerating Serum
    ($275)
I like to treat my face differently day and night so I use two different serums. I always use one that prevents sun spots and hyperpigmentation during the day and I use a rich anti-aging one at night. La Mer Regenerating Serum is one serum I will always have in my array of products. It is by far the best anti-aging serum I’ve used. I love the Guerlain Orchidee Imperial Serum. It has a light shimmer but you can’t see it on your face. I almost like it more than the La Prairie Illuminating Brightening Serum. It’s more hydrating and soothing. It smells great too.

Eye Cream: La Prarie White Caviar Illuminating Eye Serum ($265) and La Mer Eye Concentrate
    ($180)
I actually use La Prarie Eye Serum more. I just have some La Mer Eye Concentrate left so once I'm done, I'm just going to switch to the eye serum only.

Moisturizer: La Mer Lotion during the day and Givenchy Le Soin Noir ($380) or La Mer Cream at night ($275)

I will always have La Mer Lotion for use during the day and the Givenchy Le Soin Noir Cream. It’s two of the best products I’ve ever used for my skin. Le Soin Noir is pricey, but it’s totally worth the money.

Mask: I use cheap facial masks from My Beauty Diaries and once a week I use La Mer’s Refining Facial Mask.

I use Retin-A Gel at night as well.

You have one face. Invest well.

Skinfood Rice Mask Wash off Review

A wash-off mask containing rice extract that moisturizes skin and brightens tone. With its texture of ground rice, it leaves skin bright, soft and lustrous.

I've been testing out a few products from SkinFood and so far I like most of their products. I've tried the entire Gold Caviar Line and my favorite from the line is the Gold Caviar Toner where you can see the gold flakes floating in the toner. My review of that can be read here.

The Rice Wash Off Mask is a great product I would definitely continue to buy and it's decently priced at $12. It's a big size tube that can last for a long time.

The texture is like rice pudding with grits of soft rice. It's great for anyone that is interested in an exfoliating scrub without the harshness of abrasive beads. My feel feels clean, smooth, and lightly exfoliated after using this mask. What I like most about this mask is the versatility of it. Because of its texture, it makes a great base to mix your own concoction of a mask. I've added different things to the mask to make it my own depending on my need.

This makes a great base for the famous (or infamous) Geisha Facial made famous by Shizuka New York Day Spa, which is basically a blend of rice bran powder and Nightingale Droppings/bird poop powder. They finish the facial with a bunch of other treatments and add-ons that you'll typically get if go to a spa, but the base is the mixture of bird poop and rice bran powder.

I've tried mixing it a few different ways and so far, this has been the best base for mixing the bird poop facial. Of course, it is perfectly fine on its own as a wash off mask.

Overall, this is a mask and also an exfoliating scrub I highly recommend and it is priced so well that everyone should just buy it to give it a try.

I've noticed SkinFood makes great scrubs, toners, scrubs, and mask.....better than their facial creams. Though their body lotions are awesome.

    Verdict: Buy it!

    Caudalie Cleansing Water Review

A soap-free, three-in-one cleanser, makeup remover, and toner for face and eyes that's perfect for all skin types - even the most sensitive.

Gently, yet thoroughly cleanses and removes makeup. Micellar water captures dirt like tiny "dirt magnets" and sweeps it away without rubbing, while the soothing and hydrating active ingredients work to add radiance.

I have tried a few cleansing waters and none of which was worthy of a review, but I thought this one from Caudalie was pretty decent. Personally, I wouldn't use this as my main cleanser for morning or night. I tried using this in the morning but it didn't feel "clean" and I ended up having to wash my face again with another cleanser. I ended up using this right after the gym and it does a great job cleaning off my sweat and dirt I accumulate from the gym.

The one thing I don't like is the scent it leaves on your face. I am very sensitive to scents and it's a bit too strong and lingers for way too long. It smells kind of funny to me, which psychologically makes me feel like my face is still dirty.

I do think this is a great cleansing water to keep on the go or for times where you don't have time to wash your face completely. Just pour some on a cotton/silk pad and wipe your face with it.

    Verdict: Try it
Caudalie Cleansing Water is $26  (the small one is $14)

    Fresh Soy Face Cleanser

    From their site-
Soy Face Cleanser for all skin types is an extra-gentle, multitasking gel formula that instantly whisks away everyday impurities and makeup—even mascara—without stripping the skin of essential moisture. The soap-free, fragrance free formula is also perfect for sensitive skin, too.

    Key ingredients:
-Amino acid-rich soy proteins promote moisture retention, elasticity, and firmness*
-Rosewater is notable for its calming, balancing, and toning properties
-Calming cucumber extract aids in soothing the skin
-Borage seed oil helps to nourish

I'm a big fan of Fresh products and really, you can't go wrong with any of their products. The Soy Face Cleanser is becoming one of their signature products along with the Sugar Lip Balm. It cleans very well and is extremely gentle for all skin types. It also doesn't leave you skin dry either.

It smells like cucumber and the texture itself is like liquid gel. I like like the cleanser is soap-free and fragrance free, which is rare. The scent comes from their ingredients- rosewater and cucumber extract, which are great for calming of the skin.

I'm not sure about washing off makeup, since I don't wear makeup, but I would assume it does the job really well. This is also great for those that have acne prone skin. The last thing you want to do with acne pron skin is to dry it out, it'll make your face produce more oil.

If you're not sure about buying the full size, they sell trial sizes at Sephora, but I say go for the full size!

    Verdict: Buy it!
Fresh Soy Face Cleanser is $38

Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel

    From their website -

Oil-free, anti-wrinkle technology helps to rejuvenate, clarify and brighten with Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, extracts of Peach, White Oak Bark, Lemon, Lime, Linden, Grapefruit, and Arginine.

Luxurious, anti-aging facial cleansing gel provides an exhilarating, peachy clean freshness to help produce a beautiful, fresh, youthful-looking complexion. An advanced deep pore resurfacing action helps to increase cell turnover to help diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of aging. Ideal for all skin types, including dry, sun damaged, normal, combination, oily and acne prone skin, except sensitive skin. Helps to effectively detoxify the pores, dissolve make-up, emulsify oil and improve skin texture as it gently sweeps away dead skin cells and impurities that can make the complexion appear more dull. Glycolic and Salicylic Acid and brightening botanicals exfoliate and clarify the skin, leaving it appearing ultra clean, refined and revitalized.

Peter Thomas Roth’s passion for skin care is derived from his quest to find effective products to treat his own personal skin care concerns. Initially his primary issue was acne and as time went on anti-aging issues as well. His interests eventually grew into a desire to find the best tools to combat acne, the many signs of aging, as well as protecting the skin from sun damage. His mission: to combine effective and potent ingredients with advanced technology.

If you've been to Sephora, you have probably seen his products or if you watch QVC, you probably recognize him as well. Out of the entire line, the Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel is my favorite. It smells amazing and it feels good on the skin. It has a lot of great ingredients, but it's really hard to tell if a face wash can really diminish your lines though it does have a list of effective scientifically proven anti-aging ingredients.

I've tried many cleansers and only a few have been memorable. I don't expect much when looking for a cleanser, but it has to clean my face well without drying the skin and this cleanser did just that. It's not at the top of my list, but I definitely consider this a good cleanser for those that have thought about purchasing it.

    Verdict: Try it!
Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel is $35

    Mila Moursi Cleansing Milk $65

Product Description from the website- A rich, velvety cleansing milk that thoroughly cleanses the epidermis, gently dissolving and removing all impurities. Leaves skin fresh, supple, and prepared for the next step of the treatment program.

Sounds good doesn't it? But it doesn't really clean your face at all. Everytime I use this cleanser, I feel like I have to use another cleanser to clean off the stuff this cleanser left behind. It is very gentle and the texture is like milk. For the price tag of $65, it is definitely not worth it. There are so many other products on the market that are cheaper and more effective.

    Grade: D
Mila Moursi Cleansing Milk is $65
